How MycroPod collects, uses, and protects your data.

Last updated: August 2026

Overview

MycroPod is a product discovery platform. We collect the minimum data needed to run the site: your email if you create an account or subscribe to the newsletter, and aggregate analytics on how the site is used. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and a hashed password when you sign up. Authenticated actions (upvotes, saved products) are linked to your account.
  • Newsletter: your email if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Usage analytics: aggregate, anonymized page views and interaction events to improve the product.
  • Supplier catalog data: product information synced from supplier APIs (e.g. Printful). This is public catalog data, not your personal store data.

How we use it

  • To display products and enable discovery, search, and compare.
  • To link upvotes and saved products to your account.
  • To send the newsletter if you opt in.
  • To measure and improve site features.

Data storage

Account and catalog data is stored in a PostgreSQL database managed by the backend provider, protected by row-level security. Passwords are hashed; we never store them in plaintext.

Cookies & local storage

We use local storage to remember your session and saved products when you're not signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Affiliate links

Outbound links to suppliers may include affiliate tracking. See our affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing hello@mycropod.com.
